Pinnacle Services Headquarters Attains LEED Gold Certification

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Representatives from Pinnacle Services announced today they have attained LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for their headquarters located at 724 Central Avenue NE in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pinnacle Services moved into the location in November of 2008.

“As a social services organization, I felt it was doubly important to implement as many healthy, sustainable practices as we could.” said Nicolas Thomley, CEO of Pinnacle Services. “The age of the structure, combined with its incredible historic legacy, made it one of the more complex sites to pursue LEED certification.” Thomley added that LEED certification was one of the major considerations during the initial design and planning of the building’s renovation. Thomley also served as the General Contractor on the project.

Renovations began on the new Pinnacle Services headquarters in January of 2008. Over 95% of the building’s structure and more than 55% of its non-structural interiors were reused in the new design. Of the new materials used, more than a quarter were regional products including the floors that are reclaimed wood flooring from Duluth buildings of the same era. Other environmentally friendly building components include daylight and motion sensors to reduce electricity costs, low-emitting adhesives, sealants, paints, wood and agrifibers to improve air quality and water fixtures that use 36% less water than standard fixtures. In addition, over 76% of the construction waste was diverted from landfills. The building’s natural gas and electricity costs have been reduced nearly 20%.

The turn-of-the-century building has housed several Minnesota companies including the AC Black Stove Company and the Minnesota Casket Company. It is the one of the oldest buildings to attain LEED certification in Minnesota and only the thirtieth to achieve the LEED Gold rating. LEED is an internationally recognized certification that measures the performance of a building or community against metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, emissions reduction, and indoor air quality, among others.

Home Care Services and Senior Services with Gilbert Guide

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Pinnacle Services is proud to announce that they have partnered with the web’s #1 resource for Home Care Services and Senior Services Gilbert Guide to help enhance the exposure of Pinnacle’s Home Care Services.

Right from the beginning, we were very impressed with just the shear amount of information and resources this site had. When searching for “home care services” or “senior services” on the site we were very happy to see that any potential client can find a wide variety of expert columns on common issues people experience when dealing with aging parents. We believe it is really comforting to see that GilbertGuide offers this type of service because it allows everyone to get educated on real life issues that touch almost every household. In addition to these expert columns, people can also find advice for finance/legal, housing, Alzheimer’s and health.

GilbertGuide is a great partner for Pinnacle Services due to the fact that people can get educated on the site regarding these incredibly important issues and then find the right provider for their needs within the Gilbert Guide database. Pinnacle Services is currently listed under Home Care for our Senior In Home Care.  Pinnacle’s highly trained team offers a wide variety of Senior Home Care options.

We are proud to partner with such a great site! And we hope that you get as much out of the resources available for home care services and senior services that we did!

Pinnacle Services Included on the Inc. 5000 List for the Third Consecutive Year

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009
Pinnacle Services, Inc. was highlighted for a third consecutive year in Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5,000” list that recognizes the country’s fastest-growing private companies.  Pinnacle Services holds position 3,934 on this year’s list, up 790 spots from last year when Pinnacle ranked 4,724.

The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive, statistical look at the economy.  According to Inc. “this year’s list is the biggest yet by a number of measures. Total revenue tops $214 billion, up 16 percent from last year. Median annual revenue has crept up to over $10 million, and for the first time the list’s total employment count exceeds one million. But growth has slowed considerably. The median growth rate is down to 126 percent from last year’s 147 percent.”

Pinnacle Services is honored to be included in the list for a third consecutive year.  Inclusion on the list demonstrates our commitment to quality services and job creation in our community.  To qualify for the 2009 Inc. Magazine’s 5,000 list, companies had to be U.S.-based and privately held, independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2008, and meet financial growth standards.  Complete information for this year’s list can be found at http://www.inc.com/articles/2009/08/introduction.html  The list features a profile for each company and is searchable according to industry, city, state, region and year founded.
